Eel tour - leaving from Kavieng New Ireland

Would you like to feed and interact with huge Eels that are used to human interaction and feeding?

This tour is for the adventurous

This is a 1/2 day tour where you will be accompanied by a Laikim PNG Tour guide the whole time.
We pick you up from your hotel in Kavieng around 8am and drive you to the Eels. You will arrive at the Eels approximately 1.5 hours later, around 9.30am. The one and half hour drive is exceptionally beautiful, taking you past numerous villages, rainforest and ocean views.
You will spend approx 1.5 hours at the Eels.
We will then take you to swim at a natural spring lake to swim and enjoy morning tea. This will take approximately 1 hour.
We will then drive you back to your hotel. You will arrive at your hotel at approximately 1pm.

Pricing

The price of this tour is per person is $100. Minimum cost of this tour is $400. For 5 or more people, you only pay $100 more per person.

You can extend this tour to a full day tour, which involves taking you for lunch, visiting villages and locals, swimming in the ocean and stopping at other sight seeing locations on our way back to your accommodation in Kavieng. This increases the price by $50 per person.

How to pay

All prices on our website are in Australian dollars. If you would like to go on a tour, you can purchase it from our website immediately and pay using most major credit cards. If you would prefer not to use credit card, you can transfer us Australian dollars. If you would like to pay in Papua New Guinean Kina, you can transfer the equivalent amount in Kina to our bank account in Papua New Guinea. Please contact us so we can tell you the amount of Kina you should transfer and our bank account details.

Combining Tours

If you would like to have more adventures while you are in Papua New Guinea, we have tours to suit many different interests, tastes and adventures. For day tours, you can get up to 50% discount on subsequent tours taken on the same day. Not all day tours can be combined.
