Enga Cultural Show 2025

Would you like to have a cultural experience so rich, unique and immersive that National Geographic will be there documenting the event? This is the Enga Cultural Show in Wabag, Enga Province. We have created a tour where we have thought of everything so you can enjoy the spectacle.

Itinerary

The Enga Cultural Show show runs from 8th till the 10th of August 2025.

We arrive in Enga the day before the show starts on Thursday the 7th of August.

Your tour starts in Port Moresby on Thursday the 7th of August, the day before the Enga Cultural Show starts. You can fly into Port Moresby direct from the following countries:

1. Australia
2. China
3. Singapore.

We can book you on a suitable international flight as part of your tour or you can organise to get yourself to Port Moresby on Wednesday the 6th of August.

On Wednesday the 6th:
You should arrive in Port Moresby and have your accommodation booked for the night. It is important you organise to be in Port Moresby on the 6th, just incase there are flight cancellations or delays, which are regular in PNG.
Use this day to prepare to travel to Mount Hagen Airport the next day.
On Thursday the 7th:
You will eat breakfast at your hotel if our flight time allows it. If not, we will get something to take with us on the plane.
We will take you to the Port Moresby Domestic Terminal and you will fly to Mount Hagen Airport.
We will then drive 3 hours from Mount Hagen to your Hotel in Enga Province.
You will stay the night at the best hotel (3 star) in Enga Province and get prepared for your first day at the Enga Cultural Show the next day.
On Friday the 8th:
We will eat breakfast
You will then be taken for your first day at the Enga Cultural Show
You will have dinner then stay in your hotel and get prepared for your second day at the Enga Cultural Show.
On Saturday the 9th:
You will eat breakfast
You will then be taken for your second day at the Enga Cultural Show
On Saturday night you will have dinner then stay your hotel and get prepared for your second day at the Enga Cultural Show
On Sunday the 10th:
You will eat breakfast at your hotel.
You will then be taken for your third day at the Enga Cultural Show
You will have a Mumu Day tour, which is a traditional cooking tour.
You will have dinner then stay your hotel and get prepared for your second day at the Enga Cultural Show
On Monday the 11th:
You will eat breakfast at your hotel
We will drive from your hotel to Mount Hagen Airport (approx 3 hours)
You will fly from Mount Hagen to Port Moresby
Once you arrive in Port Moresby, your Enga show tour is complete.
You can fly home or take off on your next adventure in Papua New Guinea.

We have a limit of 20 people for this tour.

Prices

The price for this tour increases as it gets closer to the Enga Show because airlines and accommodation providers increase their prices. Booking early is highly recommended.

$5,500 per person twin share
$6,500 per person single share

To get the twin share price, you must book and pay for two people at the same time and sleep together in the same accommodation.

How to pay

All prices on our website are in Australian dollars. If you would like to go on a tour, you can purchase it from our website immediately and pay using most major credit cards. If you would prefer not to use credit card, you can transfer us Australian dollars.

If you would like to pay in Papua New Guinean Kina, you can transfer the equivalent amount in Kina to our bank account in Papua New Guinea. Please contact us so we can tell you the amount of Kina you should transfer and our bank account details.

Combining Tours

If you would like to have more adventures while you are in Papua New Guinea, we have tours to suit many different interests, tastes and adventures. For day tours, you can get up to 50% discount on subsequent tours taken on the same day. Not all day tours can be combined.
