Hiri Moale Festival 2026

The Hiri Moale Festival is a special festival that happens once per year. It isn't a very well known festival outside of Papua New Guinea. The great thing about this festival is its available from Port Moresby.

Dates are yet to be confirmed but we expect it to be in September or November 2026. Once dates are confirmed we will update the website and if you have purchased your ticket already, we will confirm the dates with you via email.

Tour details

• We pick you up from your hotel or accommodation in Port Moresby.
• We take you to the Hiri Moale festival in our air conditioned cars
• We drive you back from the Hiri Moale festival to your hotel or accommodation in Port Moresby
• The tour is approximately 6 hours long
• Travel to the Hiri Moale festival takes approximately 1.5 hours there and back depending on where it is being held during the year. It is a great opportunity to see how the locals live and drive through villages.

Prices

$200 per person.
We have a minimum number of 5 people on this tour. For 6 or more people, you only pay $200 more per person.

How to pay

All prices on our website are in Australian dollars. If you would like to go on a tour, you can purchase it from our website immediately and pay using most major credit cards. If you would prefer not to use credit card, you can transfer us Australian dollars. If you would like to pay in Papua New Guinean Kina, you can transfer the equivalent amount in Kina to our bank account in Papua New Guinea. Please contact us so we can tell you the amount of Kina you should transfer and our bank account details.

Combining Tours
