Sogeri Hike & Waterfalls - Port Moresby

Would you like to go hiking over creeks and streams while seeing ancient rock art and traversing untouched rainforest, being led by the traditional landowners?

This is a 2 hour hike with lunch and a swim in waterfalls.

Itinerary

This is a full day tour leaving from Port Moresby.
We pick you up from your accommodation between 7 and 8 am.
You arrive at the start of the Sogeri hike at approximately 9.30am
The tour and lunch is approx 2.5 hours.
You arrive at the rock art approximately 1 hour into your hike
You arrive at the waterfall at approximately noon.
Between noon and approximately 1.30pm you have lunch and a swim
You leave Sogeri at 2pm
You will arrive at your hotel between 3.30 and 4pm.

One of our founders is related to the people who are the traditional owners of the land this hike is on.

There is an alternative hike option that is only 15 minutes, where you walk directly to the area where we have lunch and a swim in the waterfalls and river.

We rate our tours with an adventure rating out of 5 - 1 being lowest and 5 being the highest adventure rating. This tour is adventure rating 2

There is also an optional 15 minute hike that goes directly to the swimming and waterfalls. This tour is adventure rating 1

Lunch can be anything you want and we provide sandwiches, pastries, fruit salad for lunch and fruit and snacks for the walk.

This tour directly benefits the local community, we pay the landowners and tour operators for this tour.

We have a limit of 22 people per day for this tour

Prices

The price for this tour is $150 per person. We have a minimum charge for this tour of $450 Australian dollars. For 4 or more people, you pay just $150 more per person.

How to pay

All prices on our website are in Australian dollars. If you would like to go on a tour, you can purchase it from our website immediately and pay using most major credit cards. If you would prefer not to use credit card, you can transfer us Australian dollars.

If you would like to pay in Papua New Guinean Kina, you can transfer the equivalent amount in Kina to our bank account in Papua New Guinea. Please contact us so we can tell you the amount of Kina you should transfer and our bank account details.

Combining Tours
